Performance | 2018

Invisible Chair is a performance at the heart of MIT Media Lab. Translucent red-pink acrylic letters reading ‘invisible chair’ are kicked around the atrium of the building. As the letters are dispersed from negentropy to entropy, materiality to immateriality and visibility to invisibility the performance questions the knowledge production at the institution. What knowledge is produced? Is it academic research or just production of consumerist appliances of the future?
